New brakes starting to bed in

I've now covered a total of 69 miles since fitting the new Black Diamond discs and pads. Already, they are beginning to offer up more of there stopping power. Though they're still far from bedded in and offer nowhere near as much stopping power as the original brakes, it's clear the pads are biting the discs harder. It's also good to know that pressing the brake pedal will actually stop the car!

The once black discs are now becoming shiny where the pads are scrubbing away at the surface. It will be interesting to see just how powerful the brakes do become over the next few hundred miles. Until then however, i will still be taking it easy!

Ps. Further to a previous entry regarding a strange fuel/electrical problem causing the engine to cut out twice, i can report that this has not happened again. After cleaning the stepper motor, the car has been excellent, with a steady idle, even from cold, and the engine feels smoother than it's even been.
