Roof restored

While the weather has been hot, i've taken the opportunity to treat my roof, giving it a new lease of life. It has looked a little faded of late, though has retained its water resistance very well over the last year or so. I used Renovo's Dark Blue roof care kit.

The first step was to clean the roof using the cleansing lotion supplied. This is applied using a paintbrush and then rinsed off with a sponge. Once dry, the roof's colour can be refreshed using the colour restorer. Again applied with a paintbrush, the lotion appears bright blue at first, but does dry darker. I applied two coats. Finally, the roof is made water resistant by applying the waterproofer.

The roof is looking much cleaner and brighter, though it is quite streaky. I put this down to the heat - the lotions take a couple of hours to dry, but the weather has been really hot - high twenties - so it has been drying within minutes of application, leading to the visible streaks. I'm happy enough with the result however and my roof is fine for another year or so
